Gerald J. "Jerry" Wiley, age 74 of Toronto (Knoxville), OH passed away peacefully at his home Sunday, January 18, 2015.

He was born June 26, 1940 in Steubenville, OH the son of the late John R. Wiley, Sr. in 1964 and Esther (Greenwood) Wiley in 1978.

Jerry was a member, trustee and member of the church board of the Sugar Grove United Methodist Church; member of the East Liverpool Moose Lodge, Chapter 642; was a Civil War reenactor; was an antique car collector; loved to hunt and fish; had motorcycled with his wife Joyce all over the United States; was a graduate of the Pittsburgh Barber College and had barbered in East Liverpool, OH and was known as the barber of Knoxville, OH and had served his country in the U.S. Army.
He retired from the Ohio Edison Company after 20 years of employment as a heavy equipment operator. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Roy Jay Wiley, Sr. in 2005 and John R. "Dick" Wiley, Jr. in 2012. His survivors are his wife, Joyce E. (Miller) Wiley whom he married April 8, 1962; sons, George (Bobbi Jo) Wiley of Toronto (Knoxville), OH and Gerald "Woody" (Laura) Wiley of Ringgold, GA; daughters, Joyce Elaine (Daniel) Boyd of Steubenville, OH and Carole Ann (Kenneth) Gunn of Smithfield, OH; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and sister, Patricia (Richard) Yocum of Colorado Springs, CO. Friends and family will be received for visitation 6-8 Wednesday, January 21st and 2-4 and 6-8 Thursday, January 22nd at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main St., Toronto, OH. A celebration service of Jerry''s life will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 23rd at the Sugar Grove United Methodist Church, County Road 68, Toronto with Pastor Lori Jones officiating. Burial will follow at the Sugar Grove Union Cemetery where full military graveside honors will be given by the Toronto American Legion.
