James W. Hess, age 62 of Wintersville, passed away on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at the Trinity Medical Center West - Steubenville.Born December 24, 1947 in Steubenville, he is a son of the late James Emmanuel and Blanche Martin Hess. James was an avid Hunter and Fisherman, he also enjoyed Gardening and going to Yard Sales. He is protestant by faith, and is retired from the former Hancock Manufacturing Company in Toronto.In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Roger Hess; a sister Mrs. Sandy Landis; a great - grandson Jacob Fleischer; and two brothers in laws, George Adams and Donald Kranek.Jim''s survivors are, his companion, Mrs. Katherine A"KayA" Fleischer - Hess of the home in Wintersville; two daughters, Mrs. Lisa Hess - Davis and her husband Doug of Toronto, and Mrs. Lorrie A"MaudeA" Davis and her husband Keith of Irondale. Three sisters, Mrs. Janet Adams of Unionport, Mrs. Mary Ann Kranek of East Springfield, and Mrs. Donna McKee and her husband Jim of Bergholz. Two brothers, John Brown of Steubenville, and Davis Hess and his wife Carol of Bloomingdale. Eight Grandchildren, Miss Alisha A"GoobA" Hess of Toronto, Douglas A"lil guyA" Hess of Toronto, Teddy Hess and his wife Anna of Toronto, Mrs. Lisa A"little leeA" Davis of Irondale, Keith Cameron Davis of Irondale, Miss Nicole Davis of Toronto, Josh Fleischer of Toronto, Miss Brianne Fleischer of Toronto. A great grandson Trenton Hess of Toronto, twin great grandchildren Caleb and Caylea Jones, and one on the way.
