James W. "Jimmy" Rice husband of Monica (Mischik) Rice ,age 64 of Toronto passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at the Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville.

He was born October 3, 1951 in Shinston, WV the son of the late William C. Rice and Betty J. Rice who survives.

James was a graduate of Stanton Local High School and was retired from the Mountaineer Race Tract and Gaming Resort.

James was preceded in death by his father William C. Rice in 1993 and two brothers , Michael Ray Rice in 1977 and Jerry Earl Rice in 2012.

He is survived   by his wife, Monica M. (Mischik) Rice whom he married December 9, 1972; daughter, Joy Rice of Toronto; mother, Betty J. (Hayhurst) Rice of Toronto; grandson, William James Rice of Toronto;  brothers, Clair (Betty) Rice, John Rice, Gary Rice and Robert (Terri) Rice all of Toronto;   sisters, Judy (William) Orr of Irondale, Carol (Robert) Henthorn of Wellsville, Betty (Richard) Brandt of Steubenville and Pamela (Danny) Channels of Toronto.

All arrangements for James will be private at the convenience of the family and are in the care of the Clarke Funeral Home, Toronto.
