Obituary

James E. ''''Skip'''' Rudder, Sr. - Age 69 - of Stratton, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday - May 1, 2001 after a long illness.
He served in the Korean War from 1949 to 1951 in the United States Army.
He was a Stratton, Ohio Volunteer Fireman and an employee of the Village of Stratton for over 30 years.
He was a member of the Toronto American Legion Post #86.
He was born June 16, 1931 in Stratton, Ohio, the son of the late Alvin and Ann Morrow Rudder.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters - Gladys Turick & Florence ''''Jo'''' Weaver / three brothers - Norman, Melvin ''''Dick'''' and Walter Rudder / Grandson - Kristopher Allen Zubay. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years - Dorothy Corbett Rudder of the home whom he married July 16, 1955, a sister Dorothy Henry of Empire, Ohio and a brother Robert Rudder of Wellsville, Ohio. He will be deeply missed by his children: 3 Daughters: Mrs. Gary ( Pat ) Horton of Barberton, Ohio Betty Jean ''''B.J.'''' Rudder of East Liverpool, Ohio Mrs. Robin ( Roxanne ''''Sam'''' ) Bisquera of Tennessee 1 Son: James Rudder II and wife Joey of Sherrodsville, Ohio Grandchildren: John ''''J.J.'''' & Alyssa ''''Niki'''' Zubay Richard ''''Rick'''', Tracey and Tiffany Bisquera James III and Krystal Rudder Katrina and Kodie Horton Great-Granddaughter: Mickinsee Horton George Martin, a friend and companion of deceased sister Florence ''''Jo'''' Weaver Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 PM Thursday May 3, 2001 at Clarke Funeral Home - 302 Main Street, Toronto, Ohio. A funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Friday May 4, 2001 at the funeral home with Reverend Donald Lawson of the Stratton Church of the Nazarene officiating. Burial will be at Sugar Grove Cemetery - County Road 68 and St. Rt. 152 Toronto, Ohio Graveside services will be conducted by Reverend Lawson, the Stratton Volunteer Fire Department and Full Military Graveside Honors will be given by the Toronto American Legion. Memorial donations in memory of Jim may be given to the Stratton Church of the Nazarene. The Rudder family wishes to thank everyone for their kind words, generous acts of kindness and support during our time of sorrow. May God Bless each and everyone of you.
