James David Wenner, age 72 of Toronto, OH passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family February 19, 2016.

He was born September 30, 1943 in Stratton, OH the son of the late George E. and Margaret F. (Racz) Wenner.

Jim was a graduate of Steubenville Catholic Central High School; was an all-around handyman and loved his tools and loved to collect model cars and build trainsets.

He served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War and retired after 34 years (1972 to 2006) from the Weirton Steel Company as a millwright.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ramona Loretta Wenner in 2011 whom he married December 20, 1983; son, David James Wenner; brothers, George Michael Wenner in 1996 and Thomas Mark Wenner in 2014 and step-father, Robert Cologne.

He is survived by his daughters, Joan M. (Perry) Gray of Bridgeport, OH, Teresa (John) A. Grzybowski of Harvest, AL, Kristina R. (Glenn) Lane of Kannapolis, NC and Mary M. Wenner of Kannapolis, NC; sons, Frank A. Tomeucci of Toronto, OH and Mark A. (Johnna) Tomeucci of Stafford, VA; 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; sister, Susan Harrison of Cincinnati, OH; brother, Robert Shannon (Terri) Wenner of Las Cruces, NM; sister-in-law, Sally Ann Wenner of Toronto, OH; 5 nieces and 2 nephews; one great nephew and one great niece.

Visitation hours for Jim will be held 3-5 and 7-9 Tuesday, February 23rd at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main St., Toronto, OH.

A celebration service of Jim's life will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 24th at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Toronto Union Cemetery. There will be full military honors presented by the Toronto American Legion.
