Janet Lynne Walker Johnson, age 66 of Bloomingdale, passed away on Monday, September 5, 2011 at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa.A 1964 Graduate of Toronto High School, Janet played on the high schools first women''s basketball team and was a candidate of the 1964 Toronto High School Homecoming Court. She was active in water ballet, synchronized swimming, tennis, and had a great passion for animals. After graduation, Janet worked for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in Washington D.C. later marrying her high school sweetheart Thomas L. Johnson on December 2, 1965 in Cumberland, Maryland.Her passion, drive, and love for animals lead her to create and direct the Ohio Valley Brittany Club along with Jefferson County''s 4-H Dog obedience program where she was an avid trainer. Janet also worked as a Veterinary Assistant for Dr. Esser in Steubenville, Ohio. Janet was a member of the American Kennel Club Association (AKC) Ft. Steuben Kennel Association, and the Jefferson County Humane Society. She raised Brittany Spaniels along with Skye Terriers breeding and training champion bloodlines. Janet was an event coordinator for numerous AKC dog shows & field trails throughout the tri-state area.Surviving is her husband Thomas L. Johnson, three children; Eric (Sandra) Johnson, Troy (Tiffeny) Johnson, Laurel Johnson Soukup, two brothers; James Walker and Richard Walker, three sisters, Linda Walker Brown, Margie Walker Bergen, Debbie Walker, five grandchildren; Allison Johnson, Joshua Johnson, Austin Soukup, Paige Johnson and Erica Johnson.Janet was preceded in death by her parents Richard A. and Mary Jane Lippert Walker of Toronto, OhioMemorial visitation for Janet will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2011 from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the Memorial service at 1:00 P.M. with Reverend Hubert Granger officiating at the Clarke Funeral Home A
