James Allen “Clarkie” Clark age 70 of Toronto, Ohio passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2026.
He was born November 19, 1955 in Steubenville, the son of the late Ralph W. Clark, Jr. and Frances Jean (Raymond) Clark, and was also preceded in death by his nephew, John Fisher.
James was a member of the Toronto Fraternal Order Eagles Aerie # 1276. He was an avid Ohio State Football fan. In honor of his father's Texaco gas station he proudly displayed a Texaco sign and gas pump outside his garage. He spent countless hours working on hot rods and spending time with friends and family in his garage, which was fondly called the “garage mahal”.
He retired from Conrail as a welding supervisor, after over 35 years of service.
James’ surviving loving family includes his wife, Rhonda Lou (Snyder) Clark whom he married July 11, 2013; son, James A. “Jay” Clark; step-son, Steven Lucas and wife Megan; daughter, Rebecca DiNovo and husband Eric; grandchildren, J.C. Clark and wife Madison, Erika Littlejohn and husband Joey, Ryan and Andrew DiNovo, Lucy and Penny Lucas; great grandson James Littlejohn; sister, Kathy A. Fisher, niece Kara Flanigan and husband Rich, and Mike Kelly whom he lovingly referred to as his illegitimate step-son.
A visitation to honor James and support his family will be held from 1 pm to 3 pm Wednesday, September 16th at the Clarke Funeral Home, Toronto.
A private burial will take place at the convenience of James’ family at the Toronto Cemetery.
