Jeanne Ann Murray age 76 of Toronto passed away March 18, 2025 at the Weirton Medical Center.
She was born July 11, 1948 in Steubenville the daughter of the late William and Goldie Jean Mellion.
Jeanne was a foster to numerous furry felines by giving many forever homes. She was a past Deacon of the Hill Top Presbyterian Church and enjoyed gardening with her husband George and waiting for beautiful blooms of many varieties of flowers.
She was a graduate of Jefferson Union High School class of 1966, Jefferson Technical College and Kent State University. Jeanne worked at the Super X Drug Store for several years until she could no longer be employed.
She enjoyed visits with her great niece and great nephew Sophie and Bo Bowman and family gatherings of all kinds.
Her collection of Hallmark ornaments brought much joy to her and others. She could no longer get out to shop at department, and big box stores. She enjoyed shopping with QVC.
Jeanne is survived by her loving devoted husband, George Ernest Murray whom she married October 21, 1972; sister, Prudy Bowman and husband Buster, Sr.; nephew, Buster Bowman, Jr. and companion Brittany Champion and niece, Katie Bowman; great-niece, Sophie Bowman and great nephew, Buster "Bo: Bowman; Jessie Elder; special friend, Sherry Modransky and a verry long time friend, Sue Datillio. And many, many friends.
Visitation hours for Jeanne will be 3 to 7 PM Sunday, March 23rd at the Hill Top Presbyterian Church, County Road 46 Toronto. Additional visitation will be held from 10 to 11 AM Monday, March 24th at the church followed by a celebration of Jeanne's life service at 11 AM. the Reverend Jane Schockey will officiate. Interment will follow at the Island Creek Cemetery, County Road 46 and State Route 213 Toronto.
Following services at the Island Creek Cemetery Pavilion, family and friends are invited to a luncheon at the Hill Top Presbyterian Church Social Hall.
