Jessie K. Hallam Johnson, age 91 of Hammondsville, passed away on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at the Calcutta Health Care Center.
Born August 22, 1921 in Southview, Pennsylvania, she is a daughter of the late Jesse M. and Martha E. (Parker) Hallam. She is a member of the Empire United Methodist Church and served her country during World War II in the U.S. Army Women''s Corp, serving in the European Theatre Operations, and was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Morrell E. "Blackie" Johnson Sr. whom she married March 17, 1946 and who passed away April 2, 1995; a brother Earl V. Hallam; and two sisters, Miss Isla Rebecca Hallam, and Mrs. Viola Melanko.
Jessie''s survivor''s include two sons, Randy Johnson Sr. and his wife Laura of Palm Coast, Florida, Morrell E. "Skip" Johnson Jr. and his wife Diane of Wellsville, Ohio; two daughters, Mrs. Marty Moran and her husband Jeff of Hilliard, Ohio Mrs. Jan Reese and her husband Glenn of Irondale, Ohio; a brother George Hallam of Sun City, Arizona; Eight Grandchildren; and Eighteen Great-Grandchildren.
