He was born November 13, 1927 in Akron, Ohio the son of the late John L. Berger, Sr. and Esther Ingold Berger.
John was a member of the Sugar Grove United Methodist Church - Empire, Ohio.
He is retired from the National Steel Company - Weirton Steel Division after 48 years of service as a millwright for the blast furnace.
He was preceded in death by: Parents / Wife: Kathleen ''''Kay'''' Berger who passed away January 4, 1995 and whom he married March 16, 1946 / Daughter: Gloria Jean Berger in 1965 / Brother: Bob Berger / Sister: Ruth Parkinson.
