John Paul Coppa, age 82 of Toronto passed away Monday, April 2, 2018 at Catherine's Care Center, Steubenville where he had been a resident for three years.

He was born September 3, 1935 in Steubenville, OH the son of the late Asperino and Lida (Andrews) Coppa.

John was a member of the St. Francis Roman Catholic Church of Toronto; was retired from the Weirton Steel Co. in the sheet mill department and had been the owner and operator of the Gem City T.V. Repair in Toronto along with his wife Sondra.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Sondra Elizabeth (Johnson) Coppa who passed away September 21, 2013 whom he married December 21, 1957 and a daughter, Kelly Tucker on September 1, 2016.

John is survived by his children, Kathryne "Kitten" Geddis, ,

Karen Coppa and Karol  (Keith) Murtland all of Toronto. He is also survived by six grandchildren

and one great-grandchild.

Friends and family will gather for visitation 4-6 Thursday, April 5th at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main St., Toronto followed by a service at 6 P.M. with the Reverend Father Thomas Vennitti officiating.

There will be a private interment at the Toronto Union Cemetery.
