John T. Davis, age 66 of Toronto, passed away on Monday, April 30, 2007 at the Trinity Medical Center West - Steubenville.Born September 12, 1940 in Toronto, he is the son of the late Claude J. and Mary Jeanne Hommel Davis. John is a 1958 graduate of Toronto High School and is retired from the former National Steel Corporation - Weirton Steel Division. He is a U.S. Navy veteran serving during the Vietnam era. John is survived by his wife of 44 years, Mrs. Nancy Jane Utzler Davis of the home whom he married September 15, 1962. Two daughters, Miss Melissa Jane Davis of Toronto, and Mrs. Kelly Sue Spence and her husband Doug of Toronto. Four sisters, Mrs. Carol Sherwood and her husband Paul of Toronto, Mrs. Harriet Shumard and her husband Bob of Toronto, Mrs. Martha Parsons of Steubenville, Mrs. Claudia Chaney of Wintersville; and two Grandchildren, John and Sean Spence.Family and friends will gather for visitation on Wednesday, May 2, 2007 from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the Clarke Funeral Home - 302 Main St. Toronto. 740-537-1234/ 800-588-1446A celebration of John''s life service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, May 3, 2007 at the funeral home with Pastor Robert E.
