John Edward Furno, Age 79, of Steubenville, died Friday, February 15, 2002 at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville.He was born April 30, 1922 in Washington County, Pennsylvania, the son of the late John Robert and Maude Marin Furneaux.John is a Methodist by faith. He was a private pilot and was past president of the Eddy Dew Memorial Airport of Toronto.He was a U.S. Navy veteran of W.W.II serving as a Motor Machinist First Class and served in the Pacific Theatre of Operations.He received the following during his service with the Navy: Pacific Theatre Ribbon, American Theatre Ribbon, Victory Medal and the Phillipine Liberty Ribbon. He also served in the Navy Reserves after W.W.II.John is retired as one of three owners of Go-Men Trucking Co., Inc.He retired in 1982.He was preceded in death by his parents and two sons; Larry and Jonny Furno, and a brother, Lester Furneaux.John''s survivors are:Wife: Betty J.
