John F Haynes Jr, 77, of Toronto died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on August 13th. John was a devoted father, papap, and husband. John always put his family first and was their rock. John was a member of St. Francis Roman Catholic Church where he attended mass daily. He loved his church community. John was an avid golfer. He was a member of Dyer Country Club where he could be found almost every day. He formed many friendships and enjoyed his time on the course. He was "The World's Okayest Golfer". Throughout the years, John was a dedicated softball, baseball, and basketball coach who touched the lives of many. John was preceded in death by his wife, Eulalia Haynes, whom he married on August 4th, 1970. He was also proceeded in death by his parents, Jack and June Haynes; his sisters Judy Maple and Jan Aldridge; and brothers, Jim and Jeff Haynes. John is survived by his five children: daughter Bethany (Todd) Preble of Costa Rica, his son Jerry (Tina) Haynes of Toronto, daughter Maria (Phil) Reese of Toronto, son Bob Haynes (companion Sherry Gerrard) of Toronto, and daughter Jessica (Ben) Allen of Marion, Ohio. John also leaves behind five grandchildren who he completely adored: Tyler, Gregory (Deanna), Brooke, Danielle and Justin. He is also survived by his brother Jerome (Theresa) Haynes, brothers-in-law Thomas Aldridge, David Maple, and Roberto Ubeda, sisters-in-law Cyndy Haynes, Donna Haynes, Rae Ann Miller, Juanita Llorens, and Quina Martinez, his uncle Charles (Sandy) Haynes and many nieces and nephews. He will be remembered for his ornery comments and great one liners. A visitation will be held at Clarke Funeral Home in Toronto, Ohio on Sunday, August 18th from 2-4 and 6-8. A vigil service will be held at 3:30 Sunday at the funeral home. Additional visitation will be held on Monday, August 19th from 10:00-10:45 am at Clarke Funeral Home.
