John Junior Larkins, age 64 of Toronto passed away Thursday, July 8, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with Parkinson's.

He was born November 7, 1956 in Steubenville.

John was a member of the Sugar Grove United Methodist Church; was a graduate of Stanton Local High School. He loved flowers and enjoyed nature. After 40 years of employment, he retired from First Energy Sammis Power Plant in Stratton as a machinist.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dick Harris Larkins, Sr. in 2012 and is survived by his wife, Verona Mae (Long)Larkins whom he married June 26, 1976; his mother, Lillian Alberta "Toots" Larkins of Toronto; son, Jason (Susan) Larkins of Canton, GA; daughter, Heather (Jason) Phillips of Dayton, OH; grandchildren, Cody and Joe Phillips and Abigail Larkins; brothers, James Wilbur Harrison Larkins of Findley, OH, Dick Harris Norman (Teresa) Larkins, Jr. and Raymond Anthony (Paula Kay) Larkins of Hammondsville.

Visitation hours for John will be held 2-4 & 6-8 Monday, July 12th at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main St., Toronto.

A celebration service of John's life will be held 11 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor George Delo officiating.
