John P. “Pete” Warren of Toronto passed away unexpectedly of natural causes at his home Sunday April 26, 2026.

He was born December 4, 1941 in Steubenville the son of the late John and June (Geisinger) Warren.

Pete loved to play pool; was a 1960 graduate of Toronto High School; loved his family especially his grandchildren; was a member of the Toronto Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie # 1276 and the Toronto American Legion Post # 86.

He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War Era

He retired from the City of Toronto Water Department as a Lab Technician.

In addition to his parents, Pete was preceded in death by his wife, Carlin (Reed) Warren in 2004 whom he married May 13, 1961 and daughter-in-law Leslie A. Maynard Warren in 2005.

Pete is survived by his son, Michael S. Warren and wife Beth; grandchildren, Kenny Rupert and wife Amanda, Char Montgomery and husband C.J., Karlee Rosta and husband Joe; five greatgrandchildren, brother William Warren and wife Hosanna and several nieces and nephews along with many friends.

Family and friends will gather for Pete’s visitation from 2 to 6 PM Friday May 1st with a celebration service of Pete’s life following at 6 PM Friday with Pastor Clint Quillen officiating.

Toronto American Legion Post # 86 services for Pete will be held at 5 PM Friday at the funeral home.

Toronto Fraternal of Eagles Aerie # 1276 services will be held at 5:45 PM Friday at the funeral home.

Interment will take place at 11 AM Saturday May 2nd at the Toronto Cemetery next to his wife Carlin.

Memorial contributions in memory of Pete may be directed to a charity of the donor’s choice.
