Joseph Mihalik, age 87 of Toronto, OH, a former resident of Stratton, OH, passed away Friday, January 22, 2016 at the Country Club Manor, Steubenville, OH.

He was born April 4, 1928 in Stratton, OH the son of the late William and Katherine Mihalik.

Joseph was a member of the Toronto First Church of the Nazarene where he served in the church choir and was a 1954 graduate of Kent State University.

He was retired as a medical transcriber for the Central Ohio Medical group in Columbus, OH.

Joseph is survived by his sister, Mary K. Cunningham; nephews, Douglas (Chris) Cunningham of Stratton, OH and Kenneth (Becky) Cunningham of Avon Lake, OH; great niece, Jaime (Phillip) Garuccio of North Lima, OH; great nephew, Vincent (Tanya) Cunningham of Mechanicstown, OH; three great-great nephews and one great-great niece.

Visitation hours for Joseph will be held 2-4 and 6-8 Tuesday, January 26th at the Clarke funeral Home, 302 Main Street, Toronto, OH.

A celebration service of Joseph's life will be held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 27th at the funeral home with the Reverend Eric Frey officiating. Interment will follow at the Toronto Union Cemetery.

Memorial donations in memory of Joseph may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
