Josephine T. Cich, age 90 of Toronto, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at her home of Natural Causes.Born July 16, 1918 in Toronto, she is a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Soltis Romey. She was a member of the St. Francis Roman Catholic Church in Toronto and the Catholic Women''s Club. She was also a member of the Toronto Senior Citizens Club.In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Stanley Cich whom she married September 11, 1937 and who died January 17, 1972. A daughter Mrs. Angela Caranna; three brothers Thomas, Paul, and Edward Romey; two sisters Kathleen Wright and Theresa Cox; and a Great-Granddaughter Jacqueline Nichole.Josephine is survived by three sons, David Cich and his wife Judy of Bowie, Maryland, Stanley A"NeilA" Cich and his wife Betty of Toronto, and Denis Cich and his wife Linda of Spartanburg, South Carolina; A daughter Mrs. Rebecca Johnston and her husband Thomas of Toronto; two sisters, Sister Mary Loyola of Manitow, Wisconsin, and Mrs. Rita Nelson of New York; Eleven Grandchildren, Cory Cich of Bowie, MD, Joanna (Steve) Thursby of Tallahassee, Florida, Christy Cich of Raleigh, North Carolina, Christopher Cich of Raleigh, North Carolina, Adrienne Cich of Raleigh, North Carolina, Anthony (Rebecca) Caranna of Dallas, Texas, Amy Caranna of Dallas, Texas, Suzanne Rush of Spartanburg, North Carolina, Tom Johnston (Amie) of Toronto, Ohio, Sarah Johnston of Akron, Ohio, Katie Johnston of Toronto, Ohio, Six Great Grandchildren, Victoria Caranna, Anthony Caranna, Jacob Rush, Gabrielle Rush, Alexis Johnston, Sierra Johnston; and two Great Great Grandchildren, Jacob Rush and Hannah Rush.Family and friends will gather for visitation on Friday, January 19, 2007 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Clarke Funeral Home - 302 Main St. Toronto 740-537-1234/800-588-1446. A vigil service will be conducted at 7:00 PM at the funeral home that evening.A blessing service will be held at the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Saturday January 20 followed by the funeral liturgy with Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Francis Roman Catholic Church in Toronto with Msgr. Kurt Kemo as Celebrant. Burial will follow at Toronto Union Cemetery.
