Juanita Clark Kunkel, age 89 of Toronto, OH passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at the Velley Hospice Care Center, Steubenville, OH surrounded by her loving family.

She was born September 29, 1926 in Pueblo, Colorado the daughter of the late Harold R. and Ledra (Coie) Clark.

Juanita was a 69 year member of the North River Avenue Christian Church of Toronto having been Baptized November 24, 1946; a member of the Toronto Order of Eastern Star; a 1944 graduate of Toronto High School and a graduate of the Steubenville Business College.

She had been employed by National Folding Box Co. of Steubenville; the G.C. Murphy Co. of Toronto; the Hancock Manufacturing Co. of Toronto; the Just Say Hello Home Care of Toronto and was presently employed by the Heritage Home Health Care of Toronto as a health care aide.

Juanita was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John A. Kunkel in 1986 whom she married July 2, 1946; grandson, Jarrod R. Kunkel in 2012 and a great-grandson, Oswald D. Clegg in 1997.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy K. (Dan) Clegg of Toronto, OH; sons, J. Douglas (Sophie) Kunkel of Sandpoint, ID and Richard F. "Rick" Kunkel and his significant other Donna Haynes of Toronto, OH; grandchildren, Lisa Kaiser, Amy (Steve) Smith, Aaron (Korey) Clegg, Lindsey (Ben) Bravdica, Sara Kunkel and Alexis Kunkel; great-grandchildren, Jake, Hank, Nolan, AJ, Noah, Liza, Petra and Brekyn.

Visitation hours for Juanita will be held Sunday, December 6th from 4 to 9 P.M. at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main St., Toronto, OH.

A celebration service of Juanita's life will be held  11:00 A.M. Monday, December 7th at the funeral home with Pastor Steve Smith officiating. Interment will take place at a later date at the Toronto Union Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in memory of Juanita may be made to the American Cancer Society, St. Jude's Children's Hospital, the Wounded Warriors or the Toronto High School Alumni Association.
