Judy E. Merritt, age 76 of Toronto, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2022, surrounded by her family at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville, Ohio. She was born March 11, 1946 in Costonia. She is the daughter of the late Bernard S. Baker and Celestia C. Baker. She was a homemaker and Protestant by faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Merritt, Jr. whom she married on August 3, 1963 and Whom passed away May 4, 2015. She is also preceded in death by her brother, Bernard W. Baker and sister, Celestia K. Thompson. Judy is survived by her sister, Mary A. Merritt and brother, Walter K. (Kerry) Baker all of Toronto. Also, four sons and a daughter, Bernard E. Merritt, Sr., Robert L. Merritt, Candy M. (Bill) Doomy, Karl K. (Holly) Merritt, John P. (Kristen) Merritt. Judy had 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Family and friends will gather for visitation on Thursday Oct. 27, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Clarke Funeral Home 302 Main Street Toronto, Ohio 43964. Celebration of Judy's life will be Friday Oct. 28, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with the Reverend Kevin Rinkes officiating. Interment will follow at Center Chapel Cemetery.
