Lawrence L (Larry) DeAtley, age 72, of Toronto, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 28, 2025 at his home . Born on July 18, 1953 in Cincinnati, he was the beloved son of the late Betsy Ross.

Larry proudly served in the Air Force as an aerospace ground equipment technician. He was a small arms expert marksman and received many other awards and commendations for his hard work. He retired from the Air Force in 1992 after 20 years of service. After his Air Force career, Larry continued to stay busy, taking on several truck-driving jobs over the years until he eventually retired from Jefferson Landmark in March of 2022.

Larry is survived by his wife of 39 years, Sue (Keeder) DeAtley. His sons Larry (Brian) DeAtley-Ellyson and Dan (Lisa Rodriguez) DeAtley, and daughters Samantha (John) Sciance, Cristin (Mark) Dunlap and Cari (Brandon Baker) Valentine. His 12 grandchildren, Brandon, Zoe, Abbie, Kira, Ashlyn, Dante, Grayson, Jayden, Mia, Jaxon, Anna, Gillyan. His brother-in-law, Bill (Jan) Keeder and sister-in-law Jan (Keeder) Bartlett, along with several nieces and nephews.

Besides his mother, he is preceded in death by his in-laws, Bud and Wilma Keeder.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 from 3-6pm at Clarke Funeral Home, Toronto, followed by a funeral service and full military honors by the Toronto American Legion Honor Guard. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate his life.
