Leah Myers-Age 82-of Beckley, W.Va.(a former resident of Toronto) died Saturday-February 17,
2001 at the Heartland of Beckley-Beckley, W.Va.
She was born October 30,1918 in Toronto, Ohio the daughter of the late Austin and Helen Rebecca Dye Peckens.
She is a member of the First United Methodist Church-Toronto, Ohio.
Leah is a 1936 graduate of Toronto High School.
She was Preceded in death by her husband-Richard K. Myers who passed away in 1975 and whom she married Nov. 3,1950-a brother Dwight T. Peckens in 1992 and a sister Wilda Nation in 1997. Survivors are: Son: Kenneth Peckens Myers of Beckley, W.Va. Bro: Wayne A. Peckens and wife Marilyn of Toronto. Sis: Leora Alban of Toronto. Visitation hours will be 7-9 Sunday and 2-4 and 7-9 Monday at Clarke Funeral Home-302 Main St.-Toronto, Ohio. 740-537-1234 or 800-588-1446. A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM Tuesday-February 20,2001 at Clarke Funeral Home. Rev. Kevin Rinkes officiating. Burial will be at the Island Creek Cemetery-County Road 46 and State Route 213-Toronto. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church-Main and 6th Streets-Toronto, Ohio.
