Dobbins - Age 80 - of Toronto passed away Thursday - September 29, 2005 at the Merritt Manor of Toronto.He was born June 21, 1925 in Braxton County West Virginia the son of the late Van and Emma Siers Dobbins.Lester''s memberships include: The High Stack Club of First Energy - Sammis Plant - Stratton, Ohio / Tri-County Coon Hunters / Jefferson Ruritan Club / former board member of the Island Creek Cemetery AssociationHe is a veteran of W.W.II having served in the U.S. Army in the Normandy envasion, Northern France, Rhineland and Central Europe Campaigns. He received the following citations and medals - Jubilee of Liberty medal commemorating the 50th anniversary of the D-Day Landings and the Battle of Normandy - The French Croix De Guerre Avec Palme - EAME with 4 battle stars - Bronze Arrowhead - Unit Meritorious Service Plaque.Lester is retired from the First Energy Co. - Sammis Plant - Stratton, OhioHe was preceded in death by: Parents / Wife - Betty J.
