Lois Jean Heckathorn, age 83 of Toronto, OH passed away suddenly at the Trinity Medical Center, Steubenville, OH.

She was born September 18, 1931 in Knoxville, OH the daughter of the late John Henry and Bessie Lorena (Wright) Zimmerman.

Lois sold Avon for several years; was a 1949 graduate of Jefferson Union High School and had been co-owner along with her husband Jay of Jay''s Rid A Pest.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jay Leroy Heckathorn who passed away March 1, 2015 and whom she married June 11, 1950; sister, Shirley Tarnovich; brothers, John Wayne "Jack" Zimmerman and Doyle Zimmerman. Lois is survived by her daughter, Vicki J. (Donald) Miller of Toronto, OH; son, Jay A. (Vicky) Heckathorn of Seminole, FL; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Joyce I. Hall of Toronto, OH and her best friend Oscar the dog. Visitation hours for Lois will be held 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. Saturday, March 21st at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main Street, Toronto, OH. A celebration service of Lois'' life will follow at 1 P.M. with Pastor Tim Zimmerman officiating. Interment will follow at the Sugar Grove Union Cemetery, County Road 68 Toronto (Sugar Grove), OH. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations in memory of Lois be sent to Spay Neuter Ohio, Toronto Fund, P.O. Box 557, Green, OH 44232
