Lorain Belle Barber, age 90 a homemaker of Empire, OH passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at the Carriage Inn, Steubenville, OH

She was born March 31, 1927 in Lawford, WV.

Lorain loved to garden, do wood crafting and ceramics.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Bessie (Eakle) Wright; husband, Lester Barber whom she married May 30, 1969; son, Loren Neal Reed; daughter, Sharon Haught; sister, Jackie Butcher; step-daughter, Kathryn L. Thomas; step-son, Clifford Barber; brothers, Billy and Denzil More.

Lorain is survived by her sons, Larry (Linda) Mitchell of East Springfield, OH and Jimmy (Brenda) Reed of Toronto, OH; grandchildren, Tammy (Ronnie) Everly, Kristy (John) Ruiz, Carla (Dennis) Yeager, Jamie (Elizabeth) Reed, Travis Reed, Ryan Yeager, Rhonda (Warren) Wells, Verna Brown, Connie (Wayne) Chase, Cindy (Scott) Lockhart and Robert (Brooke) Thomas; 17 great-grandchildren and sister, Patty Brazel of Akron, OH.

Visitation hours for Lorain will be held 2-4 & 6-8 Monday, May 15th at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main St., Toronto, OH.

A celebration service of Lorain's life will be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 16th at the funeral home with Mr. Rick Prosser officiating. Interment will follow at the Sugar Grove Union Cemetery, County Road 68, Toronto (Sugar Grove).

Memorial contributions in memory of Lorain may be sent to the donor's choice of charities.
