Together Again on their 72nd Wedding Anniversary
Magdalene Mary "Madge" Rock, age 97 of Toronto, OH passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at the Brightwood Nursing Home, Follansbee, WV on the 72nd anniversary date of her marriage to her husband Edward Rock.
She was born December 1, 1918 in Steubenville, OH the daughter of the late William and Sophia (Platko) Ladomersky.
Magdalene was a member of the St. Francis Roman Catholic Church of Toronto and the Catholic Women's Club of the church. She was a 1936 graduate of Toronto High School.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward M. Rock who passed away November 26, 2010 and whom she married November 8, 1944; brothers, Paul Ladomer, Tom Ladomersky and John "Hank" Ladomersky; sisters, Irene Lascola and Eleanor Cowles
Magdalene is survived by her children, Lawrence (Barbara) Rock of Toronto, OH, Carolyn (Robert) Maus of Toronto, OH, Charles (Linda) Rock of North Lawrence, OH and Diana "Dani" (Charles) Swearingen of Toronto, OH; grandchildren, Marie (Jay) Fabian, Megan (Mark) Martin, Chad Swearingen, Jennifer (Bill) Cromer, Michael (Carrie) Rock, Jason (Lerica) Rock and Troy (Kristen) Rock; great-grandchildren, Alec and Graci Craig, Zach and Lucas Martin, Emma and Katie Swearingen, Miranda, Nellie Anne, Maggie and B.J. Cromer and Tyler, Jacob, Austin and Corey Rock and sister, Joan Vaughn of Toronto, OH.
Visitation hours for Magdalene will be held 2-4 and 6-8 Friday, November 11th at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main St., Toronto, OH where a Vigil service will be held at 2:30 P.M. Additional visitation 9:15 to 10 A.M. Saturday November 12th at the St. Francis Roman Catholic Church, Toronto, OH
A Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10 A.M. Saturday, with officiant the Reverend Father Thomas Vennitti at St. Francis Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Toronto Union Cemetery.
