Margaret Rae "Peg" Andrews McCartney age 88 passed away Friday, February 18th 2022 in Louisville, KY. She had been a long-time resident of Toronto. Ohio

She was born July 3, 1933 in Toronto the daughter of the late Wilda Vance Andrews and Charles C. Andrews.

Margaret was a member of the Triumph of the Cross – Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church of Steubenville.

She graduated from Toronto High School in 1951 and People's Hospital School of Nursing, Akron, Ohio in 1954. She retired from the Akron General Medical Center in 1987 and moved to Murrells Inlet, South Carolina.

In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Thomas McCartney; grandson, Michael McCartney and siblings, Betty Youmans, Charlene Beatty, Nina Kavanagh and Harry Andrews.

Margaret is survived by her son, Michael Thomas McCartney; granddaughter, Kimberly Risinger; grandsons, Matthew McCartney, Steven Cabell and Daniel Cabell and great-granddaughters, Kayleigh Leavell, Clover and Nova McCartney.

Visitation hours for Margaret will be held from 11 AM to 3 PM Sunday, February 27th at the Clarke Funeral Home, Toronto, Ohio.

Services for Margaret will be held at 3 PM Sunday at the funeral home with the Reverend Father Thomas Nau of the Triumph of the Cross – Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church officiating.

Margaret's entombment will take place at the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Akron, Ohio at 11 AM Monday, February 28th.

Margaret's wishes were for no flowers. She suggested that for those that wished to honor her memory, contributions could be made to the Triumph of the Cross – Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 280 Rosemont Ave., Steubenville, OH 43952 or Valley Hospice, 10686 State Rt. 150, Rayland, OH 43943.
