Mary Jane "Janie" Fiala, age 77 of Toronto, passed away on Friday, August 26, 2022, at the Weirton Medical Center, Weirton, WV. Janie was born on December 7, 1944, in Steubenville, Ohio, a daughter of the late Howard T. and Mary Jane (Spicer) Francis. Janie was a follower of Christ, was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Toronto and attended the Bell Chapel Methodist Church. She loved leading devotions during monthly Ladies Ministry gatherings, volunteering when she could with the church outreach missions, and enjoyed Sunday afternoon motorcycle rides with her husband. For many years, Janie led an "M&M" group that brought her much joy and loved spending time with family. Whether it was going thrift shopping with the girls, cards night with the boys, painting ceramics, or playing "Words with Friends" on her tablet, if Janie was there it was a good time with great memories. In addition to her parents, Janie was preceded in death by her sister Pearl A. (Francis)Wright, and her brother Butch Francis. Janie leaves behind her husband of 57 years, Edward Fiala of the family home in Toronto; two sons, Edward Lee (Tammy) Fiala of Bloomingdale, and Wayne (Stacey) Fiala of Irondale. Grandchildren Joey and Diana Beaver and their children Nicoli and Ameila, Ryan Fiala, Martariesa (Companion John) Fiala and Isabelle, Sam (Tiffany) Beaver and their son Jackson, Amber (Cody) Shook and their son Liam, Odessa (Companion Brandon) Fiala, Krystal Fiala, Devin Fiala, Anthony Fiala. Family and friends will gather for visitation on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the celebration of Janie's life service at 1:00 P.M. at the Clarke Funeral Home – 302 Main St. Toronto, Ohio 43964 (740) 537-1234 Her Granddaughter minister Martariesa Fiala will officiate the services, and burial will follow at the New Alexandria Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Janie's name may be made to either the Toronto Church of the Nazarene, or the Bell Chapel Methodist Church.
