Mary M. Payne - age 81 - of Steubenville, a former Toronto resident passed away Monday - June 15, 2009 at the Valley Hospice Care Center - North - Steubenville.She was born February 1, 1928 in Pittsburgh, Pa. The daughter of the late Charles and Florence Magdalene McShores Murray.Mary is a Methodist and was a 1945 graduate of Steubenville High School. She also served as a tutor with the Literacy Council of Steubenville and was a member of the Dip and Dive Square Dance Club and the Steubenville American Legion Post # 33 Auxiliary.She was retired from the J.C. Penny Co. of Steubenville.Mary was preceded in death by: Parents / husband - Clark E. Payne who passed away February 6, 2009 and whom she married December 25, 1946 / brother - Bud Murray.Her survivors are:Daughters: Betty L.
