Mary Catherine Smith age 94 of Steubenville passed away Wednesday July 16th at the Weirton Medical Center.

She was born August 8, 1930 in Cassandra, PA the daughter of the late Martin and Elizabeth (Marshall) Sanders. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jack Monigold Smith in 2011 whom she married November 14, 1953; brothers, Patrick and Edgar Sanders and a sister Betty Flickinger.

Mary is survived by her sons, Shawn Smith and Todd Smith and granddaughter Amanda Jo Smith.

She was a member of St. Peters Roman Catholic Church of Steubenville. She graduated from the Blain Vocational High School in Pennsylvania and had been a member of the Friday Night Bowling League.

Family and friends will gather at the Clarke Funeral Home in Toronto for Mary's visitation Thursday July 24th from 5 to 8 PM followed by a celebration service of Mary's life at 8 PM with Father Thomas Vennitti officiating .

Mary's burial will be in the Union Cemetery of Steubenville next to her husband Jack.
