Obituary

Mathia Holsinger (Liberto) passed away peacefully on August 6, 2024, at Trinity Hospital. She was born on July 20th, 1938, in Weirton, West Virginia and was a long-time resident of Steubenville, Ohio. She worked as a switchboard operator for Weirton Steel. She was a loving, devoted wife, mother and grandmother who never stopped giving. Mathia was the sweetest, kindest, most giving soul, which was evident to all who met her. She impacted everyone who knew her through her willingness to help, unwavering support, and deep commitment to those she loved. To love and be loved by her was a true blessing. Mathia was preceded in death by the love of her life for 64 years, husband Arthur Holsinger; son, Eric Holsinger; mother, Josephine (LoPresti) Rizzo; step-father, Charles Rizzo; father, Sam Liberto; brother, John Liberto; and brother, Larry Liberto Sr. She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Holsinger; beloved granddaughter, Isabelle Pratt; sister, Frances (Liberto) Milano; and many close nieces and nephews.
