Matilda J. "Tillie" (Herrick) Lastivka, age 92 of Toronto, OH passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2024, in the comfort of her home in Toronto.

She was born March 19, 1932, in Steubenville, OH, daughter of the late John P. and Mary (Rada) Herrick; was member of the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Toronto; member of the Catholic Women's Club; member of The First Catholic Slovak Union (Jednota); was a 1950 graduate of Toronto High School and retired from the Dallas Mobile Homes Court in Toronto.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph Lastivka; brother Father Marion Herrick; sister Pauline T. (Herrick) Baird; and sister Mary (Herrick) Connors.

She is survived by a daughter, Melissa Ann (Mike) Simone of Rotonda West, FL; sons, Timothy J. Lastivka of Marengo, OH, Joseph M. Lastivka of Toronto, OH and John A. (Wendy) Lastivka of Mason, OH.  Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive.

There will be a private visitation and private service at the convenience of the family for Matilda with Deacon Thomas Graham officiating.  Interment will be private at the Toronto Union Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in memory of Matilda may be sent to the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 1225 N. River Ave., Toronto, OH  43964.
