Maxine A. Brannon, age 85 of Toronto, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at Trinity Medical Center West - Steubenville.Born July 22, 1921 in Mingo, she is a daughter of the late James C. and Hazel Dunlap Wells. Maxine was protestant by faith and a homemaker. She worked as a volunteer with the Jefferson County Community Action Council for many years.In additon to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Donald J. Brannon Sr. whom she married February 22, 1942; a son Donald J. Brannon Jr., and nine brothers and sisters.Maxine is survived by five daughters and two ons, Mrs. Patricia A. Loshbaugh and her husband Clyde of Toronto, John Henry Brannon of Toronto, James C. Brannon and his wife Mary Lynn of Pennsylvania, Mrs. Edna Mae Mushrush of Toronto, Miss Kathleen V. Brannon of Toronto, Mrs. Dorothy M. Haas and her husband Lawrence of Toronto, and Mrs. Margaret J. Baker and her husband Richard of Florida. A sister, Mrs. Martina Bennington of Steubenville, Thirteen Grandchildren, Donald Minto, Paula Long, Lisa Gibson, Amy Hitchcock, John Henry Brannon, Kyle Brannon, Thomas Vantilburg Jr., Charles Vantilburg, Katrinka Valuska, Joe Willie Swearingen, Casey Swearingen, Penny Nameth, Nicole Wells, and Angela Lepowsky, and Twenty Two Great-Grandchildren.Family and friends will gather for visitation on Friday, January 5, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Clarke Funeral Home - 302 Main St. Toronto. 740-537-1234/800-588-1446A celebration of Maxine''s life service will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home with Pastor Edgard Augosto officiating.
