September 2, 1962 – March 5, 2016
Michael Robert "Chez" Czesztyicki, age 53 passed away peacefully with his beloved wife at his side Saturday, March 5, 2016 at the West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh.
May Michael be remembered as the loving, caring, sweet, gentle ,kind and generous soul that he was so well known for. A star athlete at Toronto High School graduating in 1980. Growing up he was known by coaches as the toughest, hardworking kid on the field no matter the sport. His dazzling smile, good looks and quick witted charm endeared him to anyone that knew him.
Michael gave back to Toronto by establishing the Ralph "Abie" Miller memorial, which he was very happy and proud of and it stands proudly in the center of Toronto today.
Michael was a member of the Toronto American Legion and the Ft. Myers, FL American Legion and the Toronto Knights Motorcycle Club. He served his country in the U.S. Army.
Michael was a master carpenter, an artist and musician. He saw beauty in everything. He loved God from the age of seven and remembered gazing at the stars knowing there was a higher power in the Lord. He even became an ordained minister in the Universal Life Church in his last months which was very important to him.
After a courageous battle with cancer, Michael decided to rest and went to be with the Lord whom he was at peace with.
Michael was preceded in death by his beloved mother Ruth Ellen (Barnes) Czesztyicki whom he cherished and his beloved wife of 25 years, Sandy (Brown) Czesztyicki . Survived by his beloved wife Deborah Anne Czesztyicki, whom he married February 29, 2016 and whom he gave the happiest years of her life and surrounded her with love and affection and their loving dog Moses; his loving father, Bob "Yab" Czesztyicki; sister, Beth Fulton; cousin, Greg Anderson; cousins, family and a list of friends that loved him very much.
In lieu of flowers, Mike was an animal lover and requested donations be made in his memory to local animal shelters.
"And those not with us or by our side, may God be your partner on your final ride."
Visitation for Michael will be held from 11 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Saturday, March 12th at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main St., Toronto. A Memorial Service celebrating Michael's life will follow at 1:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Susan Clegg officiating..
