Michael L. Skeens, age 71 of Toronto passed away suddenly at his home Saturday, August 3, 2019.
He was born December 1, 1947 in Avella, PA the son of the late Bernard and Mary R. (Strazinski) Skeens.
Michael was an avid Big Red, Steelers and Ohio State fan. He enjoyed doing yard work, loved to be with his family and was retired from the Plumbers & Pipefitters Union Local #495.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Tina Skeens in 1993 and his foster parents, Jack & Ruth Gregory.
Michael is survived by his wife, Tomi A. (Lemasters) Skeens whom he married July 15, 1994; sons, Michael H. (Amanda) Skeens of Hinkley, OH and Steven L. (Lisa) Skeens of East Liverpool; daughter, Nikki (Zach) Skeens of Pittsburgh; sisters, Gloria J. Strazinski of Mingo Junction and Shelia Parks of Steubenville; brothers, Bernard Skeens, Jr. of Toronto and Edward (Linda) Hennen of East Springfield and a grandson, Stephen Clevenger of East Liverpool.
Visitation hours for Michael will be held 2-4 & 6-8 Thursday, August 8th at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main St., Toronto.
A celebration service of Michael's life will be held 11 A.M. Friday, August 9th at the funeral home with the Reverend Kevin Rinkes officiating. Interment will follow at the Ft. Steuben Burial Estates, Wintersville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Michael's memory may be made to the Lupus Foundation of America, 2121 K Street – Suite 200, Washington, DC 20037
