It's with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Michelle Lynn Keener on February 21, 2025, at the age of 52.

Michelle was born on November 23, 1972, the daughter of David Wesley Colson and Marilyn (Reed) Colson.

Michelle was a graduate of Toronto High School, class of 1991. She studied health information management at Eastern Gateway Community College, and health care and information technology at West Virginia Northern Community College. Michelle was an EMR specialist at Change, Inc.

Michelle was a devoted mother to her two daughters, Elizabeth and Madelyn Keener, who were the center of her life. She cherished every moment spent with them and was deeply proud of the young women they have become. As a loving and caring individual, she also maintained a close bond with her former spouse and best friend, Edwin Keener, the father of her two daughters, with whom she shared many memories with over the years.

Michelle leaves behind her loving parents, Marilyn and David Colson, her daughters, Elizabeth and Madelyn Keener, her brother David Brandon Colson and his wife, Jody, her two beloved nephews, Jaison and David Colson, her former spouse Edwin Keener, her sister-in-law Deborah Cosgrove and all who knew her. She had a natural ability to light up a room with her bright smile, kindness, and infectious laughter.

Michelle was a supportive friend, a loving daughter, and an incredible mother who will be remembered for her strength, compassion, and the love she gave so freely.

Arrangements are entrusted to Clarke Funeral Home, Toronto. In keeping with Michelle's wishes, her arrangements will be private, and she chose to be cremated.

Michelle may be gone, but her spirit will live on forever in the hearts of her family and friends.
