Mildred "Midge" Gettings, age 91 of Toronto, passed away on Sunday, August 19, 2012 at Nentwick Care Center in East Liverpool, Ohio.
Born December 4, 1920 in Bellaire, Ohio, she is a daughter of the late Grover C. and Pearl (Cross) Starkey. She is a member of the Toronto First Church of the Nazarene, and was self-employed as a hairdresser for many years.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James D. Gettings, whom she married April 11, 1936 and who passed away in 1990; a son, James G. Gettings who passed away in 2011; a daughter Cecelia Pearl Gettings who passed away in 1937; and a great-granddaughter Alyssa Crouse.
Midge''s survivors include, a daughter, Mrs. Marcia Crouse of Hubbard, OH; two granddaughters, Ms. Leslie Woodford of Wellsville, and Ms. Cara Croyle and her husband Rod of Hubbard, Ohio; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
All visitation and services for Midge will be private and at the convenience of her family. Burial will take place in Toronto Union Cemetery.
