Mildred K. Wilson - Age 88 - of Toronto, died at her residence December 11, 2001 of natural causes.
She was born October 1, 1913 in Cawker City, Kansas, the daughter of the late John and Alice Poppen Verhage.
Mildred was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Toronto.
She served as a volunteer dispatcher, office manager and billing secretary for the Toronto Emergency Medical Service for many years.
Mildred along with her late husband Ernest, were recipiants of the 2000 Toronto Area Chamber of Commerce Citizens of the Year Award.
She was retired from the Toronto City Schools as a fifth grade elementary school teacher and also taught seventh grade math at the S.C. Dennis School in Toronto.
Mildred and her husband Ernest also had been employed as real estate agents for the Walt Lint Realty Co. of Steubenville.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband - Ernest C. Wilson who passed away January 6, 2001 and whom she married December 23, 1936.

1 Son: Ned Wilson and wife Gwen of Sarasota, Florida
2 Daughters: Mrs. Michael ( Janet ) Klovanich of Hastings, Michigan
Mrs. Mitch ( Kathy ) Cattrell of Columbiana,Ohio

The Toronto Emergency Medical Service will hold services Saturday at 4:00 PM at Clarke Funeral Home followed immediatly by a funeral service with Reverend Lucas Pina officiating.
