Miriam Joanne Popejoy, age 86 of Toronto, Ohio passed away to her Eternal Home Thursday, April 18, 2019 at Trinity Health System, East.

She was born May 28, 1932 in Toronto, Oh the Daughter of the late Donald Milby and the late Lucy Gritton Milby. She Was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Popejoy in 2009 whom she married June 15, 1957 and three sisters, Margie Lou Burns, Lois Jean Craig and Donna Marie Wise.

Miriam is survived by her daughters, Lois A. Popejoy and Lisa D. Popejoy; Granddaughter; Jeanne Ann Popejoy and two Great Granddaughters; Mariah and Madalyn of Toronto, Ohio.  Miriam leaves behind many Nieces and Nephews and Three generations of Nieces and Nephews.

Miriam was a Life Member of the North River Avenue Christian Church, Toronto, Ohio where she was a Sunday School Teacher and Choir Member. She was also a member of the Sweet Adelines. Miriam was a 1950 Graduate of Toronto High School.

She was retired as a Histologist from former Ohio Valley Hospital.

A Memorial Service celebrating her long life and Christian Heritage will take place Friday April 26, 2019 at 12:00 noon at the Riverview United Methodist Church,105 North River Avenue, Toronto, Ohio.Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at noon.
