Nicholas Patrick "Nico" Butler, age 49 of Toronto, OH passed away Friday, December 29th at his home.
He was born April 19, 1968 in Steubenville, OH
Nico was a 1986 graduate of Toronto High School; member of the Toronto American Legion Post No. 86 and the NRA; was an avid Penn State and Pittsburgh Pirate fan; loved to fish and never knew a stranger.
He was currently employed at the Maple Manufacturing Company, Weirton, WV and served his country in the U.S. Air Force as a military policeman and had served during the Panama crisis.
Nico was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Wayne "Beep" Butler and Helga (Masmann) Butler; wife, Sherri Lynn (Rebich) Butler in 2010 whom he married March 7, 1991; Maternal grandparents, Erika and Rudolph Massmann; Paternal grandparents, Eanon and Martha Almeda Butler and mother-in-law, Midge Stoll.
Nico is survived by his son, Tyler Patrick Butler and his fiancé Hannah Johns; granddaughter Arliee Lynn Butler of Toronto, OH; sisters, Diana (Darryl) Harter of Carrollton, OH and Mary Michaela Masmann of Germany; companion, Amber Stewart and her children, Zach Stewart and Aubrey Saner and her grandson, Preston Stewart of Toronto, OH; nieces and nephews, Kimberly Harter, Rebecca Schaming, Joey (Judy) Harter and Steven (Marissa) Rebich and their sons Max and Finn; great-nephews, Darryl Harter and Easton Russell; uncle, Craig (Dot) Butler; cousin, Larry (Tonya) Butler and their son Mike.
Visitation hours for Nico will be held from 3 to 8 Wednesday, January 3rd at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main St., Toronto, OH .
A celebration service of Nico's life will be held 11 A.M. Thursday, January 4th with his niece Rebecca Schaming officiating. Interment will follow at the Toronto Union Cemetery where full military honors will be provided by the Toronto American Legion Honor Guard.
