April 5, 2025
PATRICIA ANN LOSHBAUGH
Patricia A. Loshbaugh, of Toronto, Ohio, passed away on April 5th, 2025, at home surrounded by her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Ramona "Lisa" Gibson, husband Clyde, brothers Donald Jr. and Jack Brannon, sister Edna Mushrush, and nephew and "extra son" Charles Vantilburg.
Patricia Ann "Patty" Brannon was born August 6, 1944, in Steubenville, Ohio, to Donald and Maxine Brannon. She was the eldest daughter of eight children, and the beloved Mom of three daughters and the adored MawMaw of seven grandchildren. In 1994, Patty Hitchcock moved to Jacksonville, NC, and on April 16, 1999, she married her husband, Clyde Loshbaugh, and they shared a loving marriage until his passing in 2022.
She was an incredible wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, and homemaker. She enjoyed making people laugh, loved cooking large holiday dinners, hosting summertime parties, listening to country music, watching classic movies, shopping, and most importantly, spending all the time she could with her family. She was the heart and soul of us all, and she will be missed by all whos lives she has touched. She took care of everybody she ever met.
Patty is survived by her daughters, Paula (Rob) Waggoner, of Toronto, Amy Hitchcock (Steve Davis), of Richmond; Grandchildren, Shane Hitchcock, Jeffrey Scott, Tyler Andrews, Trevor Scott, KayLee Putman, Ciera White, Larry White, great-grandchildren Clayton and Chloe Scott, and siblings James (Mary Lynn) Brannon, Kathy (Walt Parsons) Brannon, Dorothy Haas, and Jeannie (Rick) Baker, nephew and "extra son" Tommy (Carmela) Vantilburg, her stepchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was also a loving friend - she leaves behind her "extra sister" Lorna Grimm, and she is finally able to reunite with her sister Edna and best friend Betty Peters, who's grandchildren, Lennon and Lydia, she adored. She was MawMaw to all.
She was one of a kind and there will never be another one of her. She will be incredibly missed. "We love you to the moon and back..."
