Patricia Ann Forrester Matthews, age 86 of Empire, OH passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2022. She was born ApriL 2, 1936 in Paden City, WV the daughter of the late Colley and Sarah Rhea (Hammel) Forrester. Patricia was a 1955 graduate of the Tyler County High School and had been a cashier at the former Crawford - Taggart Market store in Stratton, OH In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Gerald Stanton Matthews February 22, 1994 whom she married October 8, 1955; second husband, James Spencer September 18, 2006 whom she married June 20, 1998 and Homer Matthews February 6, 2022 whom she married June 10, 2013; brothers, Mark Hubbard, Richard, Robert, Gary and William Forrester; sister, Norma Jean Shields and grandson, Adam Matthews. Patricia is survived by her sons, Gerald Keith (Anna) Matthews and Douglas James (Susan) Matthews all of Empire, OH; brother, Don Forrester, Sr. of New Martinsville, WV and sister, Rosealine "Podi" Harder of Paden City, WV. Grandchildren, David (Jenn) Matthews of Carrollton,, OH, Kevin Matthews of Bloomingdale, OH, Ashley (Charlie) Alexander of Richmond, OH and Austin (Mikayla) Matthews, Basseterre, St. Kitts, West Indies; great-grandchildren, Natalie and Riley Matthews of Newton Falls, OH, Jade Matthews of Carrollton, OH, Oaklyn Alexander of Richmond, OH and Adelind Matthews of Carrollton, OH. Visitation hours for Patricia will be held 2-4 & 6-8 Friday, July 15th at the Clarke Funeral Home, Toronto. A celebration service of Patricia's life will be held 11 AM Saturday, July 16th,at the funeral home with Pastor Frank Rogers officiating. Interment will follow at the Morning View Cemetery, Irondale, OH.
