Patricia L. "Pat" Hayter, age 73 of Calcutta, OH passed away Monday, August 29, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born March 14, 1949 in Steubenville, OH, the daughter of the late Robert L. and Sara (Peterson) McClurg and also preceded in death by her brothers, Robert and Harry McClurg and sister-in-law, Sandy McClurg.

Pat graduated from Toronto High School in 1967 and then attended Hartford Airline School in Hartford, Connecticut. She then accepted a position with United Airlines in New York. She left to raise her family, later accepting a position as Department Manager of Wal-Mart in Calcutta, from which she retired.

Pat was a member of the Empire United Methodist Church; she loved to garden, loved her flowers and she loved to go shopping and above all, she loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

Pat is survived her husband, Albert M. "Al" Hayter whom she married November 8, 1969; daughter, Lori M. (Oscar) Hoit of Canfield, OH; son, Todd M. (JoEllen Weaver) Hayter of East Liverpool, OH; grandchildren, Aaron (Alisha) and Jacob Hayter and Spencer and Connor Hoit and great-granddaughter, Oaklee Hayter; brother, John L. (Trudi) McClurg of Toronto, OH.

Visitation for Patricia will be from 6 – 7 P.M. Wednesday September 7th at the Clarke Funeral Home, Toronto with the Reverend Kevin Rinkes officiating a celebration of life service at 7 P.M. Wednesday.

Memorial contributions in memory of Patricia may be made to Akron Children's Hospital Cancer Research.
