Bartels - age 83 - of Toronto, (Sugar Grove) Ohio passed away surrounded by his loving family and friends Wednesday June 30, 2010 at his home.He was born September 13, 1926 in Jefferson County, Ohio the son of the late Fred and Alice McDonald Bartels.Paul was a member of the Sugar Grove United Methodist Church. his other affiliations include: 55 year member of the Jenkins Masonic Lodge # 471, Irondale, Ohio / Valley of Steubenville Scottish Rite 32 degree Masons / Life Member of the Toronto V.F.W. Post # 6906 / former Knox Township Trustee / former member of the Knoxville Volunteer Fire Department / member of the Sugar Grove Union Cemetery Board / a 1945 graduate of the Jefferson Union High School.He is a U.S.Army veteran of W.W.II having served in the Pacific Theatre of Operations.Paul was preceded in death by: Parents / stepmother - Eunice Hudson / brothers - George and Harry Bartels / sister - Marjorie Stoneking.His survivors are:Wife: Shirley J.
