Paul Richard Porter, age 53 of Stratton, passed away at the Valley Hospice Mary Jane Brooks Center, Steubenville after a long battle with cancer.

He was born September 8, 1969 in Steubenville and was the son of the late Lawrence Richard Porter in 2020 and his mother who survives, Karen J. (Bowersock) Best. Also preceded in death by a son: John Lawrence Porter in 1997 and his paternal grandparents, Roberta and Lawrence Porter and maternal grandparents, Joseph and Betty Kennedy.

Paul loved to work on cars and do auto body having been employed by John Schmitt in Wintersville and NAPA in Steubenville.

He is survived by his mother, Karen J (Bowersock) Best; companion, Melissa Fuller; children, Paul David Porter, Nichole Lynn Porter, Jennifer Nicole Bryan, Brock Joseph Fuller, Jordan Michael Fuller, and nine grandchildren; sisters, Tonya M. Porter, Teri Shilot; step –sisters, Leslie Best, Pamela (Donavon Smith) Russell, Jaime (Shay Lucas) Licata; step-mother, Jackie Porter and several nieces and nephews survive.

Visitation hours for Paul will be held 4-7 PM Wednesday, April 19th at the Clarke Funeral Home, Toronto with a celebration of Paul's life service at 7PM.

Memorial contributions in memory of Paul may go to the American Cancer Society.
