Paul R. Turick, age 69 of Stratton, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2005 at Trinity Medical Center West - Steubenville.Born August 26, 1936 in Jefferson County, he is a son of the late George and Nettie Rood Turick Sr. Paul is a retired Boilermaker, working from local Union #154, he is also retired from the Stratton Volunteer Fire Department. He is a Veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of The Toronto American Legion St. Mihiel Post #86, The Toronto V.F.W. Post #6906, and the Toronto Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #1276In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, George Turick Sr.Paul is survived by his wife of 42 years, Mrs. Shirley J. Umstead Turick of the home, a daughter Mrs. Deborah Birden and her husband Keith of Steubenville, Six Grandchildren and six Great-Grandchildren.Family and friends will gather for visitation on Saturday, December 17, 2005 from 6-8 PM and Sunday December 18, 2005 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Clarke Funeral Home - 302 Main St. Toronto.740-537-1234/800-588-1446.
