Pearl Lou Putnam Phelps, age 79, of Toronto (Knoxville), Ohio went to be with her Jesus Friday - January 13, 2012 after a lengthy illness. Pearl was born November 11, 1932 in Proctor, West Virginia to the late Russell and Alice Goddard Putnam. she was a 1950 graduate of Toronto High School.Pearl worked for Ophtalmologist Dr. Milic of Steubenville, Ohio for 30 years. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Pearl was preceded in death by her parents, husband Forrest Robert "Bob" Phelps who passed aaway in 2000 and whom she married April 10, 1953, sons - Robert Arthur "Bobby" Phelps who passed away in 1973 and Forrest Daniel " Dan" Phelps who passed away in 2008, two brothers - Romey and Raymond Putnam,She is survived by her son - Donald Lee Phelps of Toronto, Ohio, daughter -in-law - Diane Phelps (Mike) Maffett of Bergholz, Ohio. Also surviving are her grandchildren - Dan (Katherine) Phelps, Christopher (Misty) Phelps, Angeline (Doug) Cole, Dustin Phelps, Bobby Phelps and Mary Helen Louise Grimes. Great-grandchildren surviving are - Grayce Lou, twins- Forrest Andy and Forrest Daniel, Jadyn, christopher, Alexis, Dillon, Rachel, Robert Richard Phelps, Seth and Lilli Cole. also surviving is a sister - Sylvia (Ray) Austin of Toronto, Ohio.Friends and family will gather for visitation 2-6 P.M. Monday January 16th at the Clarke funeral Home - 302 Main St. - Toronto, Ohio 740-537-1234. There will be additional visitation from 12 noon to 1:30 P.M. Tuesday January 17th at the funeral home followed by a celebration service of Pearl''s life at 1:30 P.M. Tuesday with Pastor Raul Diaz officiating. Burial will follow at the Ft.
