Peter Paul Merritt, age 47 passed away suddenly Saturday February 14, 2015 at his home in Steubenville, OH.

He was born February 14, 1968 in Steubenville, OH

Peter was a member of the Bell Chapel United Methodist Church, Steubenville (Pleasant Hill), OH; was a 1986 graduate of Jefferson Union High School and a graduate of Ohio University. He was formerly employed by the Carriage Inn of Steubenville as a Home Health Administrator.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Naomi H. (Cunningham) Merritt in 2008; infant sister, Elizabeth Merritt; brother, James F. Merritt in 2002; maternal grandparents, Roy and Hazel Cunningham and paternal grandparents, Frank and Evelyn Merritt. Peter''s survivors are his father, Paul F. Merritt of Steubenville, OH; sons, Mark, Dylan and Luke Merritt all of Texas; sisters, Gayle Mc Millan of Toronto, OH and Susan (Michael) King of Ft. Worth, TX; brother, David Merritt of Texas; nephew, Zachery Merritt; nieces, Angel Mc Millan and Brittany Merritt. Visitation hours for Peter will be held 2 to 4 P.M. and 6 to 8 P.M. Thursday, February 19th and Noon to 1 P.M. Friday, February 20th at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main St., Toronto. A celebration service of Peter''s life will be held 1 P.M. Friday at the funeral home with the Reverend Jeff Proya officiating. Burial will follow at the Center Chapel Cemetery, County Road 45, Steubenville, OH.
