Tim "Grouch" Koontz, age 55 of Steubenville (Pottery Addition), OH passed away surrounded by his loving family at his home Sunday, October 1, 2017.

He was born October 4, 1961 in Steubenville, OH.

Tim was a 1979 graduate of Jefferson Union High School and was a foreman at the Energy Piping Company of New Cumberland, WV.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah L. (Early) Koontz in 2014 whom he married September 13, 1997 and maternal grandparents, Phillip Harvey Koontz and Marcella Koontz.

Tim is survived by his sons, Phillip Tyler-Vai Koontz of Tiltonsville, OH and Arthur L. "J.R." (Becki) Fowler, Jr. of Wintersville, OH; parents, Phillip Thomas and Joan Frances (Fenske) Koontz; companion, Becky Marciniak of the home; sister, Patty Blankenship of Ft, Myers, FL; brother, Joe (Vicki) Koontz of Richmond, OH and grandson, Noah Fowler.

Arrangements for Tim are in the care of the Clarke Funeral Home, Toronto, OH and will be private at the convenience of his family. To honor Tim's wishes he will be cremated.
