Phyllis A. Patterson, age 77 a homemaker, loving mother, grandmother and mother-in-law of Toronto, OH passed away surrounded by her loving family Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at the Valley Hospice Care Center North, Steubenville, OH

She was born September 20, 1938 in Newell, WV the daughter of the late Dean R. and Katherine Keeder Conner.

Phyllis was a member of the Bell Chapel United Methodist Church, Steubenville (Pleasant Hill); the Knoxville Volunteer Fire Department Axillary and was a 1956 graduate of Toronto High School.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, John F. Patterson who passed away in 1998 and whom she married October 20, 1957.

Phyllis is survived by her sons, Roger (Sharon) Patterson and Walter "Snuffy" Patterson all of Toronto, OH; grandson, Lucas (Meredith) Patterson of Steubenville, OH; five great-grandchildren; her very best friends, Marge Burns; Linda Rock, Edie Dorsey and Betty Zimmerman and many, many more friends.

Visitation hours for Phyllis will be held from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. Saturday, October 10th at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main St., Toronto.

A celebration service of Phyllis' life will be held 1 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home with the Reverend William Hibbs officiating. Interment will follow at the Sugar Grove Union Cemetery.

Following Phyllis' service and interment, everyone is invited to the Knoxville Volunteer Fire Department for a luncheon and a time to have fellowship with her family and friends.
